Minnesota’s P4P best again proves why he holds that title. It will be interesting to see how his national rankings rise with this win. Another point of interest for me was how he handled some pretty good shots that did get through. And he answered that by not seemly being fazed by any of them. He was bleeding from his eye and nose from early on in the fight but just kept controlling every aspect of the action. Again our hats go off to Jason Litzau for making Minnesota proud.
I should note that I completely dropped the ball on this one. After emailing back and forth with Litzau’s team, I was supposed to call his manager and get comments about this fight. I am quite irritated with myself for not taking care of business. Sorry.

The ESPN2 card starts at 7PM central.
In my defence, we have had contractors in our house for the last three weeks and my office has been relegated to the living room couch.
LAZY, and you didnt remember on your fight reminder a couple days ago?
Hey now! I thought it was too close to fight time to bother them. Trust, this ball was dropped a few weeks back. I know, I suck.
I cant wait for this thing to start!
Im with ya
The Pres kicks things off, pretty cool.
amateurs?
Only two fights. You can deal Bob.
ugly fight
May be ugly but Litzau controling every bit of it.
Jason cant control how the other guy fights.
Yeah, I completely agree. He did what he had to do.
Its nice to see he is getting some “good guy” praise too.
After that performance i’d give him p4p ugly win but he did his best with a weird guy good win.
Nobody has been more successful on the national stage in recent years.
Glad you came around Facts. I agree with all, that was ugly, but I dont think that was Jason’s fault. It is funny how Teddy presents Litzau and how he seems to be seen here. The toughest critics come from your own back yard.
he doesnt act the same there as he does here. dude is a very good boxer, but its hard to like him. last target center show ruined him for me.
I know Ive done some things Id like to take back. One thing is for sure. He is darn good. I was hoping he would let loose a little more early, but he seemed to just get better as the fight went on. I give him credit for looking pretty good in a fight that would be hard to look good in.
Yup Bob you got me on this won every shot he through BAM BAM BAM Power.
i gotta agree with sean…. jason may be a great boxer and a good guy, but he sure as hell doesnt act like it when he is in MN.. last time he told all of us to F off!!
good win on a national scene with a scrappy akward opponent. Atlas drives me nuts sometimes…Litzau started slow casue the dude was akward. Litzau showed his power, speed, chin and class. Another title shot soon?
Great points Kato. And I hope so. He is Minnesota’s chance.
On a serious note, is Jason experiencing the effects of taking too many punches to the head? With all due respect to Jason and what he has accomplished so far, but his incoherent interview made me wonder about this. This is just an honest observation.
I have heard that discussed before. And truthfully, I dont know him well enough to say.
